A Neolithic site under Max Gate, home of author Thomas Hardy, is now protected. 👏 It's one of Dorchester’s earliest archaeological sites, dating back over 5,500 years. Hardy began excavations in the 1880s, revealing ‘The Druid Stone’. ➡️ bit.ly/MaxGate National Trust Archaeology

A Neolithic site under Max Gate, home of author Thomas Hardy, is now protected. 👏

It's one of Dorchester’s earliest archaeological sites, dating back over 5,500 years.

We are busy in #eryri this week helping @cymunedoli develop their proposals for Plas Tan Y Bwlch with two days of meetings with @cadwcymruwales, local #community groups and the charity’s board. Fantastic to have such a great project in walking distance of our new #Wales base! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
