5. Jamie got a new lawyer, Alex Weingarten, who promptly filed for Britney to pay his ongoing legal fees Rosengart filed an objection called “the Ebadi declaration” which summarized Jamie’s misconduct (heavily citing Vlasov’s surveillance claims) as why B shouldn’t have to pay

6. As part of his investigation, Rosengart filed subpoenas to Jamie and Britney’s former business manager, Tri Star, about potential financial mismanagement & electronic surveillance Tri Star filed to block the subpoenas. A court hearing was set for July 2022 (nine months later)

7. In response, Jamie filed to depose Britney (to ask about “child safety & possible drug use” per TMZ) This set off a flurry of filings as Jamie & Britney tried to force each other’s depos. In July, the judge said Jamie must be deposed but not Britney— a big win for Britney.

8. Jamie also tried to get Britney’s investigative files– including Vlasov’s recordings– from Kroll, but that got denied too. Weingarten filed appeals, but the court has not ruled yet. He also wants to unseal certain records he said defend Jamie. Jamie was deposed in August.

9. Soon after, TMZ reported on settlement talks, claiming Rosengart offered to end things for $7M but Tri Star & Jamie balked Presumably whatever amount they ultimately settle for would come in exchange for Britney giving up the right to sue for anything else related to cship…

10. Sept 24th marked one year since the whistleblower went public…and important legal deadlines expired. Statutes of limitations for criminal prosecution have essentially passed. I’ve asked all levels of law enforcement & there’s no indication of an investigation being pursued.

11. It was also the deadline for Britney (or others) to file a separate civil lawsuit against Jamie/BBX for invasion of privacy California law allows for a $5k penalty per EACH text, which given the huge trove of texts in Vlasov’s evidence could have amounted to many millions $

12. A few days ago, the judge ruled Tri Star execs Lou Taylor and Robin Greenhill must be deposed (including abt surveillance) But in BIG win for TS, she limited discovery to only be about the 12th Accounting (ie how Britney’s $ was spent in 2019- NOT any of the 10 years prior)

13. Britney’s team argued Tri Star's financial books lacked “crucial backup” such as invoices & cash receipts– including to explain WHY payments were made to Tri Star Claims it still hasn’t gotten a direct answer on how much $ TS made Wanted texts/emails about TS's cship work

14. Also alleged TS produced only the “net” income of her tours– not gross revenues (ie how much Britney was left after expenses, not how much $ her work generated overall) Cited emails suggesting some expenses may have been paid outside of the estate (and court oversight?)

15. However, the judge ruled that Britney can’t just reopen the old financial books (ie how her $ was spent in 2008-2018) unless Rosengart raises evidence of “extrinsic fraud” in the prior accountings that had been approved by Britney’s old lawyer and others.

16. But a 2019 email suggests Britney’s then lawyer Sam Ingham apparently may not have fully known who was making what % off of Britney, which raises the Q of how good was his information?

17. Limiting discovery to the 12th Accounting is a big deal bc the amount of $ in dispute that Britney could get back is not a lot: ~$300K raise to TS after B went on work strike ~$150K in legal fees when Lou Taylor sued a fan ~$80K accounting fee TS got after Vegas cancelled

18. ~$600K is not a lot— everyone on all sides has almost certainly spent more on legal fees at this point (Britney could file more objections, but all of the current objections of alleged financial mismanagement during 12th Accounting were found by Sam Ingham, not Rosengart)

19. Back to Alex Vlasov: In August, after being blocked from getting them from Britney & Kroll, Weingarten subpoenaed Vlasov for the recordings & other evidence of alleged illegal spying Vlasov’s lawyer opposed, in part invoking his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination

20. So Weingarten is now asking the court to force Vlasov to hand over: -all recordings/texts that support his claims -all docs related to Britney or Jamie, including any w/ B’s lawyers, Kroll & PR agencies -all comms w/ NYT -$2,500 in sanctions for “​​unjustified shenanigans”

21. The next court hearing is set for Wednesday— when the judge is expected to decide on Weingarten’s request to throw out the Ebadi declaration (Rosengart’s filing arguing why Britney shouldn’t have to pay for Jamie’s lawyer) as inadmissible.
