Imagine being able to see the extended corona like you did today during the solar #Eclipse , but not needing some rare celestial alignment.

And then imagine being able to see the solar disk _at the same time_.

That's exactly what SunCET will start doing from space next year.

At #TESS24 in Dallas and someone must’ve invited this cloud to up the drama of the #Eclipse . Got out of the way _just_ in time though. AMAZING!

#PI_Daily working from home and in deep discussions with my wife about SunCET CubeSat detector quantum yield, Poisson statistics, propagating uncertainties / distribution widths. Definitely pays to be married to a fellow nerd.

lol got contacted by someone using a code repo I made 7 years ago that makes a python GUI for reading serial port data; I built it as part of a package to decode beacon data from satellites 🛰️📡.
They are using it for their carwash 🚗. 🤣
Python is truly multi-purpose.

#PI_Daily another 10 hour day today. Had too many recently. Starting to feel the burn out. For me that comes more from the sense that there’s still so much to do despite the input time more than the time itself. I enjoy what I’m doing but the sense of progress is lacking

#PI_Daily my poor laptop is simultaneously running python instrument simulations, Fusion 360 CAD, remote to VM running STK, and continuous backup eating an entire CPU core. And emails ringing off the hook so much that I had to shut it down. Today (and recently) = scattered.
