Just got panel shells and panels to be a ton more reliable, so soon hopefully will be a proper alpha release! Just gotta get keyboards and subsurfaces working :D

Just made items a lot more seamless, they now get events when captured (such as a panel being put into the CRT panel shell shown) so they can hide and readjust themselves when released. As well, this shows how even when clients crash everything goes on as normal overall!

Emmy insisted so we now have one haha! The rust rewrite is still in progress, but we decided to do managerial stuff. Don't worry, we're not a for-profit company and have no plans to be. FOSS for life :D

In a few hours (check indico.freedesktop.org/event/3/contri…) I'll be doing a talk about Stardust for FOSSXR, come watch it at youtube.com/watch?v=AZqBPC… and comment about it on matrix.to/#/#xdc-winecon…

Sorry there hasn't been an update in a while, been hard at work! But here's a sneak peek of Protostar and Magnetar! Protostar is a prototype launcher for apps spatially and Magnetar (workspaces) has been ported to Rust with animations and line drawing routines.

New demo video made by Saphira Kai showing all the clients so far! We're getting closer to Stardust v1.0, all your 2D apps anywhere, any time, any way you want to interact with them.

Thanks to Blender's team, Wayland is so absurdly smooth on desktop and has a fancy transparent 3D View background, also works in stardust now!

Happy new year, and long time no see! We were busy developing our product, an XR windowing system for Linux. Excited to announce the 1st release is coming in *mid January*! Last year we did many design/dev improvements and it's time to unleash them. Follow us for the updates!

I'd love to keep working on Stardust XR full time to improve the accessibility, privacy, and usability of AR and VR for everyone, but I'm running out of savings. If you've got a bit of money, I'd appreciate a sponsorship on this #TDOV23! github.com/sponsors/techn… Thank you!

Just got the #nrealair glasses plugged into #monado and #stardustxr on #Linux/#Wayland/#NixOS for the first time on my laptop, working quite well for a WIP driver by Tobias Frisch gitlab.freedesktop.org/monado/monado/…

Been a while since I (Nova 🐧✨) have posted on this account but work is still being done! Just got saving/loading state working so all your 3D apps come right back to where they were. When monado and such get spatial anchor support, persistent objects will be there!
