Michelle and I send our congratulations to a fellow Chicagoan, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. This is a historic day for the United States, and we will pray for him as he begins the sacred work of leading the Catholic Church and setting an example for so many, regardless of faith.

This is a blow to science in a series of blows lead by a political war on science. Science is not the issue and this government needs to understand that they are setting the country back by decades in research that could promote human health and advancements through innovation.
