Wheat traders must’ve came and looked at my wheat fields this morning

All it took to get it to rain was two circles of alfalfa down and a soybean field left half planted.

Does anybody in KS know a place to sell oats? Feed mills need them to be heavy and obviously won’t know until harvest. Shelby Oats south of Great Bend. TIA

Wheat drilling- ✔️

Used 40 rock as a starter last year. A lot more noticeable on the fields with a lower ph but can still see a difference on good ph ground. Would like to do a side by side yield comparison with the combine, but with our conditions/forecast the cows will get to it first.

4 legged combines pulled in the wheat field today. 5 bushels isn’t going to cut it.

Weather gave us the ole head and shoulders fake on the rain so onto first cutting we go.

Feels like a good day to grill steaks, watch the royals, and pour out a drink for the ‘24 wheat and rye crops. Started dismal, then looked just promising enough to dump a bunch of money at them, and now a heartbreaking finish.

Looks like after we miss Wednesdays rain it’s game over for us for awhile. Hello, PRF.
