When Stacks Journal started a few years ago, we didn't know if scientists were ready to improve peer review. Today, we have more than 300 followers. Let's keep it up! Tell your friends, colleagues, & lab mates. We can fix peer review & scientific publishing through collaboration

Nature published an article about how we're bringing more transparency and trust to scientific publishing. This feels big! What do you think of peer review by committee? nature.com/articles/d4158…

Impact factors are outdated & unreliable (that's another story)... But a model of publishing everything that goes through peer review just doesn't make sense. It gives too much power to the few Editors who determine what goes to peer review in the first place. Jeffrey Brainard

And so much has happened since then! 25 collaborative peer reviews, 4 published articles, and a special issue. We’re creating a refreshing experience in scientific publishing.

Scholarly publishing should be a platform for all credible science to be easily peer-reviewed & added to the public domain without censorship. That's why we signed the Declaration to Defend Research Against Government Censorship. #DefendResearch defendresearch.org/home

50-70% of credible science is never published-We're missing out on a lot of information! One of our goals is to make it easier to peer review & publish data, small studies, & negative results We all deserve to make an impact with our findings, regardless of how splashy they are

We need innovation in #ScientificPublishing. That’s why we created our new model of double-blind collaborative #peerreview to be transparent, credible, and fair. Reviewers are even calling it fun & refreshing — 2 words I don’t think anyone has ever said about peer review.
