Today our pilgrims have conquered a 12km walk across Iona to the bay where St Columba landed on Iona. We gathered some stones & built a prayer cairn, gathered around and said some prayers with Canon Tom before heading to the abandoned marble quarry on our way back to the ferry

Today on the final day of our pilgrimage we took some time out from all the walking to take to the water and go puffin spotting and to see Fingal’s cave with Staffa Trips what a fantastic opportunity…. #pilgrimage #staffa #stcolumba #SCES #walking #puffins

This afternoon our pilgrims were back on Iona to visit the abbey and celebrate mass in the Michael Chapel at the back of the abbey. Of course we finished our visit to the island with a group photo on the beach!!

Our pilgrims rounded their pilgrimage off with sunset on the beach on Mull looking at the abbey as the sun went down. An evening prayer of thanks and then home to bed ahead of our return journey tomorrow

This term P1 have been learning about themselves and people who help them. Today they were visited by Perth Fire Station and learned about the role of a firefighter. They even got to make their own rainbow next to Noah’s rainbow at our school gate! 🚒 🌈
