#USMNT lineup tonight vs. World Cup-bound Ecuador. Christian Pulisic (ankle pain), Jedi Robinson (fitness, presumably) both out after not training with the yesterday. Strong XI otherwise.

Positives seeing Weah in a RWB spot. We’ll see if Tessman or Morris makes a better case for themselves. Expecting Tillman and Balogun to step up with these absences. #USMNT

Mauricio Pochettino said the #USMNT are finally “playing the way that we plan to play” after a 1-1 draw with Ecuador, his layered tactical vision fully on display in an encouraging performance my latest for CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ cbssports.com/soccer/news/ma…

The dichotomy here. For years #USMNT players talked about the “brotherhood.” It was written about regularly in the media. Pochettino comes in and pretty quickly highlights that same culture as extremely detrimental to the team.

This is such crap Major League Soccer There are soccer writers across the nation that need employment - which in itself is insane in a pre-World Cup year - go hire them!!! This is such emotionless AI slop - You can leave feedback to MLS about their AI recaps here: mlssoccer.com/feedback/recap…

Cole Campbell was a pretty big negative for this U20 side all tournament. Biggest stock down imo. It’s fair to say we may not see more than 1 of these guys make any difference with the #USMNT.

Long-term he’ll be a big miss. Although I’m not sure you can characterize it as a miss if you were never that close. #USMNT

“I want to be remembered as the best #USMNT defender ever. Off the field, I want people to know I was a better human than soccer player.” Really enjoyed sitting with chris richards — Alabama-born FA Cup-winner Chris Richards — for this. FOX Soccer⁩: foxsports.com/stories/soccer…

Mckennie has been average to poor this window. Can’t have Musah and McKennie drop a level - especially with the formation change. #USMNT

Story w/ Paul Tenorio on the USMNT's 2-1 win over Australia, overshadowed by Christian Pulisic's early exit. For now, it's an undisclosed leg injury (not necessarily ankle). Team spokesman said he's being assessed. More to come. nytimes.com/athletic/67178…
