This is a rallying cry for care homes to stop infantilising the elderly, not assisted dying.

If care was truly person-centred and met the needs of the people who live residentially, fewer older and disabled people would become so depressed that they literally would rather die.

Look, I am literally at work and not going to spend my afternoon arguing about assisted dying, but my main point is that nobody should feel that they want to die, and it's both easier and more morally correct to improve the conditions people live in than to kill them.
