I just greeted my daughter for the first time today. Her eyes swollen, with her having grieved this day. My heart hurts for her and those like her.

Black women are the teacher in the class that just sits at their desk after trying desperately to get students to give a fuck about learning but finally gives up because the kids obviously (white people) don’t care. I get it. My teacher people will understand this acutely.
