Sent my wife shopping and found a Starbucks here during my holidays to craft and push a fix for the broken social cards to the master branches of the community and Insiders edition – our testing shows that social cards should now generate again ☺️

⚠️ Social cards are currently broken by an unforeseen Google Fonts API change (we were using a non-public API). This affects the community edition as well as Insiders.

Some people will try to make you feel 'guilty' for creating and maintaining a successful project. At times, it can be so childish that they try to reduce your influence in the ecosystem by kicking you out from GitHub orgs.

I'm 100% sold on mkdocs + mkdocs-material. They strike a beatiful balance between structure and freedom. Amazing job Martin Donath and Oleh (who is not on X afaict)

Open Source funding got a dent in 2023 – I actually would've expected its growth to continue, but it didn't. All Open Source projects on Open Collective combined raised $16M ($19M in 2022) in 2023. We need more organizations supporting OSS!

Open Collective Foundation is closing.

However, according to them, Open Source projects are not impacted, as they're hosted under another organization. I really hope this doesn't cause a run due to the potentially confusing naming of the different Open Collective organizations.
