Yusei Kikuchi's in zone whiff rate went from 18.5% in 2023 to 21.2% in 2024. He also finished the last two months of the season with a 31.8 K% and 2.74 xFIP.

Last season Spencer Arrighetti's breaking balls (curve and sweeper) proved to be above average pitches based on whiff rate and contact against. His fastball killed him but it wasn't as bad as you think. It had above average stuff+ as well as above average movement.
