Today all children took part in a sponsored skip to help raise much needed funds to repair the heating at our local church. Well done all - a great team effort!

Year 3 loved their immersive Ancient Greek day.

Today we welcomed all our new EYFS pupils and parents into school for a stay and play session. Children enjoyed exploring the EYFS base while parents enjoyed some delicious treats provided by our Relish catering team.

Thank you to Wendy and Theresa, who run our Christian youth club, for making a beautiful bracelet for each of our year 3 pupils. Christian youth club has been such a popular club this term.

Today we held collective worship to say goodbye to Rearsby Primary school. We have loved having them and hope they enjoy their gift of the Noah’s Ark to remind them of their time with us.

Our Year 2 classes, had a fantastic day at the Multi-skill Festival in Anstey! The children threw themselves into lots of exciting new sports and activities, showing great enthusiasm and teamwork. ⚽🏅 We are so proud of everyone who took part – what a brilliant day! 💙

In collective worship today we shared the story of ‘The Friendship Bench’ and how being kind to others helps develop our outward spirituality. Children were delighted to find 2 new friendship benches on the playground at break time.

We are delighted to be taking part in the ‘Coats for all’ project this year. If you have any unwanted winter coats please drop them into school. SPSP church will be open on the 18th October for anyone who is in need of a coat free of charge.

Thank you to Mr Rackley (Headteacher at Wreake Valley Academy) for coming to visit us today. He enjoyed his tour of our school and spent time with Mrs Moss planning lots of exciting ways to strengthen our partnership between primary and secondary. WreakeValleyAcademy
