As a billet family for the Spruce Grove Saints we are proud of every player that has come through our home. But what Parker Mackay did last night leaves me at a loss for words. Back to back NCAA champs and voted Most Outstanding Player. A true leader and a great kid! Congrats Parker!

Being an old tender my self I tried to show my kid how to stand because he wanted to practice getting mini stick shots on his pads. The kid says to me, Dad this isn’t 1988 goalies don’t stand like that anymore. And then the dog stepped in to practice screen shots.

One last warm up for the last mini stick game with his billet brother PS15 . Thank you Parker for being the best big brother to this little guy that he could hope for. Wishing you all the best at Michigan Tech Hockey . #billetbrothers

Once again learning the hard way the hardest part of being a billet family for a jr hockey team is when your kid gets unexpectedly traded. It would be easier if they did not become such an important part of your family so fast. Best of luck Riley Bodnarchuk.

Our old Spruce Grove Saints billet boy Parker Mackay was named Collegiate Athlete of the year at the Minnesota Sports award gala. They take college hockey serious down there. This award is a big honor for anybody to win more less a kid from Irma AB. Congrats Parker! Well deserved!

Apparently I calculated my retirement day wrong and I am going to have to delay retirement for 23 more days. Only 1558 days to go now.

I think there are far more important things going on now than the desperate need to award the Stanley Cup this season. However, if they are going to play it out it would be nice if the NHL just picked the 2 hub cities who could provide the best TV viewing experience for the fans.
