GREAT Episode here from Oncology Unscripted talking all things scans! An important topic for new and old patients alike! Highly recommend!

"Here’s a wild-but-true factoid: 10 of the 20 largest companies on the new Fortune 500 list derive profit from the 340B program. I guess you can’t throw off tens of billions of profits without titans of industry figuring out how to get their hands on it" (Brian Reid) 🧵

“It is absolutely vital that NIH investments are geographically dispersed. The way we combat scientific groupthink is by empowering researchers across the country, no matter where they are, to have a great opportunity if they have great ideas for NIH funding.” - Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD

New song, new art, we're back for Season 4! S4E1 is the sequel to our prior episode on the Advanced Practice Radiation Therapist! Is scope creep coming for Rad Onc now too? We host Join Y. Luh, MD (he/him/dude/他) and RadLady1987 for the physician perspective on this vital conversation 😍

Fun fact: the S4 art was hidden in the first TAP travel award hardware from the ACRO - American College of Radiation Oncology meeting. It's like an easter egg. For myself. Because Im a huge nerd and making TAP is really fun.

Shankar Siva Biniam Kidane I read this thread with interest, a mindset to understand. The premise is simply illogical. Patients on this study had SABR followed by surgery, non standard double local therapy. To then use this and point to these patients’ reduced QOL and attributed to SABR alone is wrong.
