Squadron Leader "Johnny" Johnson, MBE, DFM 25 November 1921 − 7 December 2022 Longest surviving original member of No. 617 Squadron RAF & Operation Chastise, the Dambusters raid. We will remember him. Per Ardua Ad Astra. Rest in Peace, Sir.

We're sad to hear John Bell has passed away. We interviewed John in 2018 & he described dropping a Tallboy bomb on the V2 bunker at Wizernes, France. “I watched it all the way down ... [it] suddenly exploded alongside the dome ... and I shouted out BULLSEYE!”
