I have a 100% trade deficit with the lady that irons my suits. She offers something way more efficiently and at a much better price than I can do myself. And in exchange, I spend the time I would otherwise be wasting on pressing my suits offering financial services at 1,000x

In respect of Reform councils suggesting they’d be prepared to use Judicial Review to challenge central government on placing of asylum hotels. Would they be using their own money, or the Local Authority’s?

Very interesting Financial Times piece from an unlikely duo on why it’s wrong to strip people of their citizenship. Refreshing to see tribalism set aside on this important issue. Delighted that Alf Dubs & Jacob Rees-Mogg will do a joint interview with me Times Radio 4:30pm today

Breaking my Twitter exile to make this message very clear. Over the weekend, pathetic little tweeters used the serious security incident at RAF Brize Norton to attack an officer for her gender & career. As one of very few female ex-mil MPs ever, I wanted to call this out 👇

Exactly right. We have a voting system fit for two parties in the nineteenth century. We need a system which elects MPs broadly in proportion to the votes they receive. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Ok several things wrong here 1. Lots of people talk about this. 2. The problem is that it’s not just migration that has driven up housing costs. 3. The main reason for high rents is the fact that house prices soared above earnings and mortgage lending was restricted after 2008

Presumably, political debate producers will get Reform on to talk about this stunning victory, and Labour on to talk about how this impacts on the government

Collab shirts are one thing, but a collab shirt between two clubs?? Now we're really talking. 😍😍 This is the 25/26 Newport County away, created in partnership with Athletic Club to pay tribute to the 56 children who found refuge in Newport after evacuation from Bilbao in 1937.

Plaid aren’t my party, but I feel their explanation of the ‘Nation of Sanctuary’ policy is important - especially given immigration isn’t devolved to Wales. The Welsh government literally don’t have the legislative function to do what some of the agitators accuse them of.
