Itโs nuts that Jon Watts and Marvel Studios were able to take the conceit of one of the worst Spider-Man stories and turn it into a genuinely emotional climax for what was already a thoroughly amazing film.
Also Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch are fantastic here.
I'm ngl I still don't understand how some of y'all think Infinity War/Endgame undid this scene. Homecoming wasn't about Peter not wanting to become an Avenger. It's about him realizing he can't rush the process, he needs to be more patient and focus on the neighborhood.
I... he did need it? He was on Ebony Maws ship and leaving the earth? He was losing oxygen, he then fought Thanos and then died in the suit. Of course he fucking kept it. Are we just actively ignorant?
The people who claim these movies have no sauce clearly didnโt actually watch them, cause this is some of the coolest action in any Spider-Man movie, and itโs in the one they claim is the worst ever
