For Noah Hertzler the first month of summer was focused on being overly aggressive in the zone. Now we have shifted to experimenting with pitch usage and outing consistency! He continues to stack outings as in his last three: 3.1 IP, 1 R, 6 Ks to 2 BB 📈

.Tarik Skubal just gave an in-game interview breaking down his between-starts routine. The biggest takeaway? He prioritizes his recovery. Skubal stressed the importance of letting the heavy days be heavy—and the light days stay light. Smart, intentional training adds up. 🎯

Some sights from week 6 of summer training 👀 This week featured: More usage of command baseballs, mixing some into catch play as well Ramping up and getting closer to a velo phase Aggressive in the zone, especially with secondary pitches Progressing with a return to throw

🧵 Developing a new changeup with Gavin Kuzniewski: When evaluating Gavin’s pitch arsenal, it was clear that improving his CH was a low-hanging fruit. He admitted it had been inconsistent throughout the year, and early lab bullpens confirmed that.

You've probably heard of location and pitching models, but what exactly is the execution model Driveline uses? It all starts with better contextualizing command🧵⬇️

A great inning last night for Brenan Hanifee as he gave up zero runs and had 1 K! Brenan has started to find his location on the 4S and increased the usage which has made hitters not be able to just sit sinker

Outing consistency continues for Noah Hertzler (William and Mary) as he faced once of the best lineups in the NECBL and went 2.2 IP with 1 ER and 3 Ks! Noah has continued to attack the zone and get whiffs on his nutty changeup. His fastball was also up to 93 last night

1.2 scoreless innings pitched for Brenan Hanifee as he has started to mix more of his 4-Seam and slider in to pair with his sinker! He has also started throwing the sinker inside more to prevent hitters from sitting on his classic glove side sinker

Happy Draft Day to all who celebrate! It's about time I do a long awaited College Stuff+ update. Some interesting draft names here like Michael Lombardi, James Talllon, Joseph Dzierwa, Justin Lamkin, and Antoine Jean.

🧵 Pitch design sessions are always fun when you’re working with a pitcher who’s curious, open-minded and willing to explore. That’s exactly what we had with Gavin Kuzniewski this summer.

Week 7 of Summer Training: This week was about problem-solving. I gave guys an obstacle and let them figure out a solution. I mixed in more variability and adjustability to create unpredictable environments that forced them to adapt and compete
