90% of my time in prostitution was spent telling & reassuring men that I was happy- choosing to be there so as to absolve them of their guilt. Carefully crafted stories, responses, & marketing tactics. The other 10% of the time was the sexual stuff. The lie is what men pay for.

Prostitution understandably causes deep trauma for the women and girls who exist within it. This is what happens when the inside of a woman's body becomes something men can just purchase access to on a whim.

I'm not sure whether this is disingenuousness or just plain ignorance from the Young Greens, either way, they should be reminded that *many* more women are murdered under the full decriminalisation legislation they're calling for. Young Greens / Óige Ghlas Green Party Ireland
