We 3D printed a bridge entirely with recycled plastic waste. It took 7.5 hours to print, spans 16 feet, and is only 3/4” thick.

Interstellar kudos to our partners at NASA Swampworks for the first ever 3D print in lunar conditions - a chilly -220°C and 10^-3 torr vacuum! Testing of the novel regolith-based material by SpaceFactory will inform mass requirements for an ISRU-derived lunar structure.

We're burning the midnight oil in prep for the New York Build Expo. In just one month, we have ambitious plans to 3D print our enclosure to showcase our sustainable building technologies. Everything from our pavilion to its accessories will be made by up-cycling plastic waste.

With the Mars pivot, our regolith-polymer composite 3D printing is ISRU-relevant again. We will explore synthesizing binders from CO2.

Our modest proposal to do a cost-benefit analysis for lunar roads was judged as ‘not relevant.’ Instead $24M is being spent to study large off-roaders for hauling lunar cargo. Are we alone in thinking roads lead to lighter/faster/safer/cheaper rovers? nasa.gov/news-release/n…
