First long overdue trip to Almeida Theatre today to see The Comeuppance by Brandon Jacob-Jenkins. Didn't quite hit the highs of Gloria for me but a nice dark comedy twist on a school reunion story. Clever use of Death as a character. Worth a watch ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Plays to read No 5.. Kindertransport by @WritingBright . Given the harsh topic (rescuing of children during WW2), the play finds some wonderful light moments whilst never losing the reality of events. Leaves you in a real moral conundrum by the end. A joy to read #playstoread

Finished reading Ella Hickson 's The Writer last night. The first 15 pages or so made me think I wasn't going to like it but then it made me feel silly and naïve. Would love to see it staged. Enjoyed it a lot. Went straight out and bought The Boys. Future #playstoread candidate
