The girls should hold their heads high. On paper, they were totally overmatched both games, but played them both to a standstill save one inning each (as happens in softball). In first game, one error with two outs leading to three unearned was the whole difference.

While I wasn’t looking last week, former ASU infielder Madison Okano committed to Cal State-Northridge. Maddie came last year with a good defensive reputation, but never saw the field on defense, mostly just pinch ran (good speed) and a couple pinch hit ABs. Good luck, Maddie!

I think inevitably the Diamondbacks become sellers at the deadline because they seems utterly incapable of lifting themselves out of the doldrums. What’s sad is in the past two years, by injury or just disappointment, we have never seen the starting staff show its capabilities

I mean, it’s Sun Devil Softball so it’s definitely worthwhile. And if you want to have a good spokesperson for a business Tanya Windle would be one. Get her dad involved if you want enthusiastic comedy relief.
