Delighted to be awarded funding by Modern Law Review to convene Modern Law Review Seminar, 'Multilateralism and the making of international law: Marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction #BBNJ 🪸', Wivenhoe House Hotel, University of Essex Essex Law School last Wed 4th Dec.


The second paper was authored and presented by @CarolDyckGPO Western Law,'The Case for a High Seas Marine Protected Area in the Central Arctic Ocean' chaired by the excellent Antonio Coco with insightful and astute intervention by brilliant Discussant So Yeon Kim | 김소연.


The fourth paper was authored and presented by Sam Varvastian Cardiff Law, 'The Contribution of the BBNJ Agreement to Tackling the Triple Planetary Crisis' chaired by the wonderful So Yeon Kim | 김소연 with intervention by Discussant Judge Ida Caracciolo International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.


Special thanks to my wonderful colleagues So Yeon Kim | 김소연 and Antonio Coco for their support throughout the organization of the event. I love teaching international law of the sea 🐟with these two brilliant minds and so happy that we could be Discussants together in this event!
