Looking at Tim Elko's plate discipline stats and I'm struggling to see what they are looking for. He's cut his chase rate. He's punishing strikes. He whiffs out of the zone a lot but as long as he keeps swinging at that stuff less (27.3% O-Swing% is not terrible), seems fine.
