Lots of fun in Nursery celebrating the King’s Coronation. We made the king’s crown, decorated biscuits and even had time to make a flag.  A good day had by all.

Barking and Dagenham Panathlon Champions(again)!!

Nursery had lots of fun during World Book Day! We spoke about the characters we dressed up as. We also had some special visitors from Year 3 who came over and read some of our favourite stories.

We still have spaces in our great Nursery for September 2023. We offer 15-hour & 30-hour places, with no charge for lunch. We can also offer Rising 3s afternoon places. If you are interested, please call 02082704915 or email [email protected].

Reception had a fantastic trip to the farm. They made bread, fed the animals and had a very bumpy tractor ride.

We have a small number of afternoon Nursery places available for Rising 3s. We admit children as soon as they turn 3, following a home visit. We prioritise siblings of children who already attend Southwood, but we also welcome families new to Southwood.

Nursery have worked really hard at looking after the garden, finally the strawberries were ready to pick. We wash them and (with a little help from Tesco) we all got to taste the strawberries!

During our farm visit, the afternoon and full-time children were lucky to see the hen lay an egg. The children enjoyed talking about the animals and describing what they felt like.

Morning children had so much fun when the farm came to visit us. We really enjoyed touching the animals and talking about the animals.

Nursery watched the life cycle of a butterfly and finally got to release them on the last day before breaking up for half term.
