Well done everyone! This week’s award winners are being recognised not only for their fab overall behaviour and attitude to learning, but also for showing kindness to everyone in our school community.

We had a wonderful morning in KS1 hosting some parents and carers for ‘breakfast with books’! Thank you so much to everyone who was able to join us. The children really enjoyed themselves and it was a lovely way to start the day.

What a brilliant time we have had with Mini Bikers! It’s been fabulous to watch the children develop their balance, coordination and confidence as they took on different challenges. They really have gone from strength to strength and shown resilience whenever they felt nervous.

Sports Day was a brilliant way to kick off #NationalSchoolSportsWeek. The children thoroughly enjoyed a variety of races and their practice certainly paid off! Thank you to the parents and carers who were able to join us – and even take part in their own races! Youth Sport Trust

Year 1 children had a fabulous time at @thedeephull aquarium yesterday! They discovered some amazing creatures, from sharks and rays to a coral habitat and a colony of Gentoo penguins. An exciting trip with an important focus on conservation and how we can look after our oceans.

It’s hard to believe that we will soon be saying goodbye to our Year 2 class! Thank you to Ossett Rotary Club, who visited us to present the class with dictionaries to support their future learning. Whilst they will be missed, we are so excited to watch them take their next steps.

Following a half term of hard work and practice, Year 7 pupils paid a visit to South Ossett Infants Academy to perform their Spoken Language presentations. All the groups performed with confidence and expression, and the Year 2 children loved watching the stories!

Thank you to everyone who came to our summer fayre! It was a great success and a special shoutout must go to the volunteers who helped us set up and run the event, as well as Wired Whippet Coffee and Petal and Crumbs by Lorraine who donated to our raffle.

A big well done to our final award winners, who have moved up a class ready for September! We are very proud of you all.
