Happening now on Library Mall across from the encampment: pro-Israel students hold a counter demonstration with signs about the hostages and their donation campaign. For every hour the encampment stands, they plan to donate to Israel.

Update — student + faculty negotiators met with @uwmadison administrators, but not the chancellor, today. Mnookin wants a resolution before finals start, per negotiator — offered a longer resolution meeting with lawyers tomorrow. Negotiators pushing for UW Foundation disclosures.

UW System President Jay Rothman said the “clashes” were “instigated by the protesters.”

In all video footage taken by the Cardinal, police officers were the first to encircle the encampment and begin to push.
