Last year, we commissioned Sonnetimpact to research the value of SEND provision. A key finding was that addressing mental health needs in special schools can make the difference between accessing education and being out of school. 2/2 🔗nasschools.org.uk/reaching-my-po…
A reminder of where you can read our 'Reaching my potential' report, commissioned from Sonnetimpact, which used mixed methods to track the impact to learners and society when children and young people with SEND have their needs met effectively. nasschools.org.uk/reaching-my-po…

So interesting to hear how crucial excellent mental health is to charity fundraising. So many of us in this field have experienced nosedives and burnout while doing this important work. Thank you for highlighting Revolutionise Revolutionise #NHSCharityFundraising
Such good insight from @benswart at NHS Charities Together 💙 Fundraising for Impact event on “the curse of knowledge” and how it affects the language we use in charity fundraising. More examples = more firepower. #NHSCharityFundraising
🚨 How charities turn impact into stories you believe in: What can orgs like Right There + The Children's Society teach us about using digital storytelling ethically, emotionally, and effectively? (Inspired by Jasmine Bina's strategy lens)...a thread👇 🔗bit.ly/3TJZUxI
1. Jasmine Bina says great storytelling acts like a mirror — we see ourselves in the story. Right There does this beautifully with “sliding doors” journeys: two paths, one choice — support or no support. Watch Madeline’s story. You’ll feel it. youtu.be/jPvZsQgx1qU
2. Reframing the Problem. Too often, charities' stories stop at the happy ending. Right There goes deeper, showing us that the real problem isn’t just 'homelessness'. It’s the absence of belonging, support & someone who gives a damn. Reframing the issue reframes what matters.
3. Authentic Voices Drive Emotion. 🎥 The The Children's Society’s Time for Young People wellbing hub in Newham shows us: real voices, real feelings, real ownership. No scripts. Just honesty. That’s trust-building storytelling. youtube.com/watch?v=D9VlXL…
4. Embrace the Unpolished These stories aren’t slick. They’re raw, honest, sometimes messy — and that’s why they work. Right There + The Children's Society show us what happens when orgs stop polishing and start listening. This makes storytelling memorable.
