Thought this very thing last night as I took family to Applebees. Paid a lot of $$ for a very subpar meal. Buy meats, vegetables, and fruits and eat at home.

There was A LOT to loose in ag outside of the actual farmer by having a spring crop insurance price on yellow number 2 substantially lower than 2024 price.

UPDATE: Lab results came back. Sample A was the snirt sample on the west edge of the 40 that bordered the fall chisel parcel. Sample B was the snirt sample in the east side of the 40 that was standing corn stalks. Interesting to see some differences. Discuss.

This morning's video explores crop insurance subsidies and whether Elon Musk and DOGE USDA should take a claymore to them or loving, massaging hand. Either way, Ag needs to internalize the external costs the current crop insurance construct manifests and conveniently ignores.

It’s really neat how the new tillage tools makes the soil compact after a rain storm thus exposing rocks. Makes for easy rock picking.
