Tremendous young man. A true gym rat, and a true leader on and off the court. You won’t find a harder worker, and more motivated kid than this one!!! 3 level scorer with many facets to his game!!!! 📥

Handed out the 2nd annual Mike Loughran Award to one of our seniors, Phil Santore. Who reminded me a lot about my father this year with his compassion, always caring for others and always giving his all. Love this kid, and honored to hand this award to him. Somers Varsity Hoops

My family moved to Somers in the spring of 1997 when I was in the 6th grade. Rob was a rising senior and star athlete. He and his family made sure I was welcomed into this community and it immediately felt like home. Inviting me to Reis park to play basketball with the older kids

Just a quick story about what a great person he is. Rob Violante is a legend in this town. Thoughts and prayers to the Violante family during this terrible time. A family that has positively impacted this town for decades. RIP buddy…

Absolutely devastated to learn about the passing of Rob Violante this morning. Rob was a star QB and basketball player at Somers when I was in HS. Always heard the name and knew he was the son of legendary football coach Skip Violante at Dobbs Ferry. And he, and his brothers

And that is a wrap for the 2024-25 school year for broadcasts at Somers for the Somers Sports Broadcasting Club. Congrats to the Tuskers who had a big win against Pearl River. With that win the Tuskers advance to the Section 1 Class C championship where they will take on Rye.
