1 in 13 black americans that have lost their right to vote due to felony convictions as part of systemic racism in the justice system. so before you say to “take your anger to the voting booth” just know not everyone has a voice there.

For anyone worried about talking to their white children right now—worried that their kid is too young for these conversations—I was 5 or 6 when my Dad told me “no matter what you do, some people will always hate you.” Black children don’t get to not understand racism.

how did you spend your 4th of July? I spent mine bartending, repeatedly being told to go fuck myself when I asked patrons to please wear a mask, and having videos and pictures taken of me as I tried to enforce these rules.
