my issue with “clean” web design (sorry Alex, using your example as stand-in for a bigger trend) is that from a branding pov, there’s very little that’s ownable by the brand. squint and it could be anything. branding works when you remember something after you leave. unique

If I'm integrated into the team for a period of time? Yeah, it's a job that's going on my LinkedIn. But even if it wasn't, LinkedIn is essentially a way to keep track of where you've worked and/or who your clients are. So what's wrong with allowing it to speak for you?
