Friendly little reminder that I am an autistic, disabled human.
I do not HAVE autism.
I am NOT ‘differently abled’.
I am autistic, I am disabled. Both are key parts of who I am and should not be removed from me.

Neurodivergence is not just Autism and ADHD, it's an umbrella term for lots of different people, neurotypes and conditions.
Personally feel its a really important distinction that is often missed and it can alienate ND folk as a result

being the diagnosed autistic person in a 'neurotypical' friend group means that folks approach you one by one going 'wait, if what you're describing is autism...' and you get to watch them each have their own epiphany
