The BNF still states the dose of iron incorrectly despite the evidence. The correct dose: NO MORE THAN ONE TABLET DAILY. Higher doses aren’t absorbed. This is negligent from NICE. Patients prescribed higher doses get GI side effects causing significant morbidity.

Amanda, Hepatology Specialist Nurse, does an incredible job in running the Kettering General Hospital outpatient paracentesis service for the hepatology patients. The ambulatory treatment area as a whole is a huge asset to the department.

Survived my last night shift for a little while. Time to take care of myself. I tried to escalate the rota gap. I emailed the clinical director, chief of medicine, MD, CEO and GOSW. Its now been 24 hours. I've not even had a single reply or acknowledgement. NHS culture.
