We had 542 Fires and 557 Special Service Incidents which can be anything from a person shut in a lift to someone hit by a train.

That old rumour that we only deal with Fire Alarms is clearly not true. We do deal with a lot of fire alarms but, after looking through the figures for 2017 Soho had 214 primary fires which is the most in the brigade.

Just to keep you up to date with how we are going to try and run this. Soho Blue Watch are going to be responsible for our twitter feed so tweets and updates will roll with their shift pattern. 2 days and 2 nights. 0930-2000 and 2000-0930.

Blue Watch were on days Saturday and Sunday and start nights at 2000 tonight. When they come on duty they will do their best to keep you updated.

Each day they will endeavour to let you know about the number of shouts from the day before as well as any notable incidents including pics and videos if we have them.

If any of the other watches have anything of interest we will let you know. When the blue watch come off their rest days and onto their first day they will try to give you a summary of events from those rest days.

We will try our best to answer your questions but because the nature of our job is very busy we might not be able to immediately. We will however note them down and do our best to answer them in future tweets.

We hope to be bringing you pics and info on our fire engines, our equipment and day to day info on this iconic part of London. Importantly we will be giving you access to all the fire safety advice you may need and in doing so we hope to keep our part of London and you safe.

Please remember this isn’t the official LFB twitter account. This is our own feed for our fire station. For a more in depth look at the work of London Fire Brigade and the work we do along with our mission to keep you safe please visit London Fire Brigade

Well that was short but sweet. It would seem that the LFB are bringing in a new policy meaning that we will have to stop tweeting. Unfortunately we believe this will effect all LFB Fire Station Twitter accounts. So until this is clarified we will have to stop for now.

Meanwhile you can always take a look at the LFB twitter account London Fire Brigade and the LFB borough accounts. For Soho in the borough of Westminster it’s Westminster LFB. Look after yourselves and take care Soho Fire London

Just to clarify , I think the issue is one of Official and Unofficial. This is an unofficial account and i think the LFB would like us to do things through the official channel which we get. We will lease with our Station Manager here at Soho and get involved in Westminster LFB

Hopefully with his permission we can bring you the same great content that we were planning to bring you through Soho Fire London allbeit under the banner of Westminster LFB Think the plan is that each station in the borough will do the same so you should get a mega feed from all 3.
