How did fiscal responsibility go in the election? Only the Libertarians campaigned on it, and they got 2%. Damien Costas is bringing out a book with an interesting theory about the generations subject to helicopter parenting: are they just using govt nanny state as a substitute?

Cameron Murray The comparison is poor. Comparing cash in the bank to an asset investment is flawed. Interest is a payment of money. It is actually realised. A capital gain in an asset is a notional increase in value at a point in time. Interest is secure and will not decline in amount.

Labor voters… Today’s 22-year-old worker will accumulate more than $3 million in superannuation by the time they turn 64. That’s even if they only ever earn an average wage. You thought you were taxing the rich, you just taxed your own children. #ausvotes #auspol

God help me Sid Dowling , there’s a whole bunch of crayon eaters salivating over the new Lake Mac battery. I don’t think they understand the fact that they don’t get to choose where their electrons come from.

Meteorologists cannot forecast weather accurately more than a week in advance, but we are supposed to believe predictions of what the weather will be like in 2100. I hate to break it to climate muffins, but climate and weather models run on the same physics. There are only a few

Hey Uber I’m not real impressed that you feel it’s ok to charge people for rides that never took place as you did to us today. Your driver canceled the job, you charged us $79 for a ride that didn’t take place and your customer support fobs us off. Best you fix this, like now!

California's Central Valley produces 80% of the world's almonds. Each almond requires 3.2 gallons of actual irrigation water to grow. Not rainfall. Actual tap water pumped from aquifers. One gallon of almond milk requires 162 gallons of irrigation water. Compare that to dairy
