Labour promised cheaper energy bills, but instead, they are £150 higher than this time last year. People will go into this winter struggling to heat their homes. In an energy-rich country, that is unacceptable. Westminster won’t fix this – but with independence, Scotland can.

So pleased to see Old Kilpatrick’s Place Plan validated at today’s Planning Committee🌿🏘️ A huge thank you to OK Community Council for all the time, effort & passion that’s gone into this - and to everyone in the village who took part in the consultations and shared their ideas.

During today’s full council meeting I moved a motion highlighting concerns in the rise in anti-migrant, racists rhetoric exhibited nationally and across the globe. We must acknowledge that our community is not immune to the issue of racism, hate and intolerance.

It was wonderful to attend a civic reception in Clydebank Town Hall last night to mark 25 years of the incredible Y sort it, thanks to a motion raised by my colleague Sophie Traynor 💜

Honoured to lay a wreath alongside Cllr Kevin Crawford at Old Kilpatrick’s Remembrance Service this morning ❤️ We must never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. My thoughts are with all those affected by war and conflict, past & present.

It was wonderful to visit the new Faifley Campus this morning with Sophie Traynor 🏫📚 The space has been designed fantastically, creating a fun, innovative and collaborative learning environment for the children and young people.
