I’m very excited to share our work on Gemini today! Gemini is a family of multimodal models that demonstrate really strong capabilities across the image, audio, video, and text domains. Our most-capable model, Gemini Ultra, advances the state of the art in 30 of 32 benchmarks,

And here is Google's blog post about Gemini. If you're in Search, drop everything and read all of this NOW. :) "We’re already starting to experiment with Gemini in Search, where it's making our Search Generative Experience (SGE) faster for users, with a 40% reduction in latency

Before it is too late, do yourself a favor and, apart from studying the technicalities of AI, NPL, LLM et al, study: - General linguistic - Syntactic analysis - Language semantics - Semiotics - Philosophy of language. SEOs who combines tech and humanistic knowledge will win.

Interested in Perspectives? Google announced in Nov that it would be coming to desktop. I'm seeing that consistently this morning. The Perspectives feed is a bit different on desktop. More like a traditional SERP.

Why are we not talking about this more? Assistant with Bard is soon going to be an overlay on every iPhone and Android that lets you talk with Bard about what's on your screen. Google calls it a completely new way to interact with your phone.

Is it 'cause I'm turning 60 this year this is appealing? Or is it the smart part of the feeder? I love this.. I think I need it.. :D #fiftyplustech #funtech FiftyPlusTech

Finally.. why we have to mandate it does not make a bit of sense to me. They should just mask to protect themselves and others..how tough is that?

Seems important for SEOs to know: • Google has now removed the "View Cache" link from search results • You can still see Google's cache by searching "cache:example(dot)com" for now... More via Barry Schwartz
