So excited to have the opportunity this summer to travel to Queensland, Australia and band fairywrens at Lake Samsonvale! I have learned so much, and it has been an amazing experience! *birds were handled with training and permits for scientific research purposes

AOS 2024 in Colorado was an awesome experience! It was my first big conference, and I presented a poster on my undergraduate thesis work on Yellow-rumped Warblers. I also met some amazing people and saw Ptarmigans and Rosy-finches. Already counting down the days until next year!

Science communications poster for a class project using Passive Acoustic Monitoring and BirdNET to assess Palila populations in Hawaii. Huge thank you to my team (Ben Gottesman, Lucy Cheeley, Ashley Chang, and Braeden Thomson) and to the Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics!

Deviating from my normal art style to play around with some graphics. I took one of my Aurora Borealis photos, edited it, and used a combination of tracing my original photos and drawing with the polyline tool to create a landscape! Curious if anyone can guess the bird species?

Last month, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Hawaii for a conservation bioacoustics field course. I learned so much and had an great time recording honeycreepers and listening to the Big Island's unique ecosystems, from the volcanoes to the ocean. What a special place!

My birding life list hit 1000 species today on top of a mountain in Costa Rica with this spectacular White-throated Mountain-Gem!!! This has been a goal of mine for a while, and, with a lot of cool species from traveling for research over the past few years, I finally reached it!

Thanks OTS for a truly amazing semester studying tropical biology in Costa Rica! It's been an incredible experience, and I'm excited to apply all the skills I've learned here to my research

Visited Jasper National Park on the way up to Slave Lake, Alberta for warbler research. Heard some Yellow-rumped Warblers that might have been hybrids and got my lifer Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches at Athabasca Glacier! What a special place ♡

Field season aurora sighting in Alberta last night. I could hear loons on the lake, and I am pretty sure I also heard a Saw-whet Owl. It was amazing!

Excited to share that I have finished Yellow-rumped Warbler field work for the 2025 season! I wrapped up Alberta last week with 74 playback trials for the Myrtle subspecies. Looking forward to analyzing the data I collected, and huge thanks to everyone who supported this project!

Thanks Vortex Optics for going above and beyond on the warranty repair for my Viper binoculars. Not only was the broken part fixed, but all wear and tear from years of intensive use was also repaired and the lens caps replaced! Super happy to have them back 😁
