TARC's Winter Wonderland will run through Dec. 31 at the Lake Shawnee Campground. This annual 2-mile drive through lighted displays is a great family tradition in Shawnee County and benefits a great organization. Hours: Mon.-Wed.: 6-9 p.m. Thu.-Sun.: 6-10 p.m.

Give your child the memory of Christmas shopping for you and others! The 40th annual Children's Shopping Spree is coming up on Dec. 9! All gifts from the vendors are $10 or less and handmade. The Children's shopping spree is at Garfield Community Center and is FREE!

Start a new family holiday tradition at Old Prairie Town. Activities include Christmas crafts, writing a letter to Santa, helping an Elf on the handcart, selfies with Santa, music and dance performances, beverage cart, snow machines, snow globe selfie station and firepit.

Really proud of this one. NEW Oakland Soccer League at Shawnee County Parks + Recreation. ⚽️ Today was the opening day of the league and it was a lot of fun. We played on “Bronco Field” at Oakland-Billard Park. I officiated two games with some help from Ellie. Everyone seemed to have a good time. 👏🏻
