Winnie went for her usual walk around Cayton. I love stopping to admire the plants. Beautiful coloured Foxgloves. A pink Rose bush. The Roses smell lovely. Last was a Welsh Poppy growing next to a Spirea. Double yellow.

North Bay today. It was a high tide. The sea was very dark blue, with frothy waves. Winnie loved the salty sea air. I love the sea ❤️🐶🌊

The May flowers are so colourful after Aprils showers. The Marie Curie Rose smells lovely. The lilac coloured Campanula. An Alium in flower. And the Gladiolus Byzantine which I forgot I planted. Last two days before we leave this garden. 🪴🌺🐝☀️❤️

The RHS Chelsea flower show happens this week. I love the idea of the children's garden. Inspiring the next generation of gardeners. The King and Queen are visiting it today. Summer season starts with RHS Chelsea. I love it. ❤️☀️🪴🌺

Today someone brought cut flowers from a patients garden. They thought it would provoke happy memories and encourage a return to health. Blue Hydrangeas and Pink Rhododendrons. Gardening is well known to be therapeutic and to improve mental health. ❤️🪴🌺🌼💠

The morning walk to work today.The sun was shining early.. There are Iris growing near the Crown Tavern. Iris is greek for rainbow.❤️🌈🥰

Four from the garden today. The purple Toadflax has pretty flowers is self seeded. As is the bright burnt orange Welsh Poppy. My favourite Astrantia Major is nearly flowering. ❤️📸

Another beautiful tree at the Falsgrave Community Resource Centre today. A floriferous pink Hawthorn tree. I only noticed today the mosaic is of the four seasons. Winnie loves her walks. ❤️🐶📸

The YS-NHS Admiral Nurses visited Lilac Ward today with their tea trolley of cakes and information. I'm looking forward to seeing how we can support our patients with dementia and their family members.I loved the Forget Me Not badge and biscuit. It's good seeing their faces.💜💠

Winnie helped me on Microsoft teams for an international nurses day quiz. She was sleeping on my shoulder. She likes to be close. 🐶🐾❤️🥰 ( We scored 4/12).

Four from the Stained glass centre. It has beautiful gardens you can sit in. A lovely place for a spot of lunch.

It's #InternationalNursesDay2024 12th May(the birthday of Florence Nightingale). This is a stained glass panel depicting her in the Crimean War with her lamp. It was found in storage and cleaned to reveal Florence. A survivor from Riddell house, a nurse training school. 💙🌈
