This 25yo Bruichladdich Distillery (Account Inactive) is simply amazing. Expectations weren't high since aging nowadays has a negative effect on the overall balance. Glad we bought 2 bottles to save one for Second Coming...

4 years and 7 months old. May be time to bottle our Mackmyra Swedish Whisky barrel this summer. Last year at 54.9% the smoky nose was better than anything, yet it was quite out of balance. Today at 52.7% some lovely smoke flew away, but it's delicious! Life is short - go for a private cask!

The deterioration of former Scottish champion malts, especially those from Islay, is utterly disheartening. Be it the economic effects of the pandemic and Brexit, or the shortage of barrels, there is still no justification for the inferior bottles on the shelves at this price.

Uncorked at last bottle 1707/3000 of Mackmyra Swedish Whisky Moment #Delägare (51,4%) and loved it's strangeness. Got some anise on the nose and well balanced spices on the palate. The finish was sweet & lingering. Been waiting for some years to open this one and yet again Mackmyra Swedish Whisky delivers!
