Biologists today were treated to an Ox heart to study 🫀 Being able to compare it to a human heart, and view arteries & veins under a microscope was an amazing experience! Young people were really excited to use their lab skills and share knowledge. 🧠 #WeBelong #WeAchieve

S1 classes had a great time this week working with Miss Curtis' telescope plate 🔭 They've loved finding stars & galaxies, and seeing them on the space-map. 🌠 They loved that it makes space feel "touchable", thanks again @PhysAstroStAnd, stay tuned for our constellations 😄

All of our S1 pupils were treated to a day of fun engineering workshops courtesy of DNE Eko STEM⚙️ Young people had an amazing time & were excited to discuss how STEM can be related to so many careers & opportunities🧪 Thank you so much to everyone involved for the experience 😄

Today was day one of our celebrations for #MenstrualHygieneDay 🎉 We were lucky enough to have Period Dignity Officer Lorraine Mohr in to talk to our S2s & S3s! All of the S2-S3 girls have also been gifted a pair of period pants 😄

Today is day 3 of our celebrations for #MenstrualHygieneDay 🎉 We had the amazing Julie from UnicornCup to talk to our seniors! The girls really enjoyed her talk & were all gifted a period cup! 🎁 This week has been amazing for starting conversations around period dignity 👏

On top of this we have also raised £117.70 (so far) to twin some of our school toilets with toilets in Malawi, to make sure that girls all over the world have access to a safe and hygienic place for their periods 🙌

For #MenstrualHygieneDay we were able to raise money to twin 2 toilets in the school! One in Malawi & one in Uganda. You'll see the shiny new certificates around the school! 😁 Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen, giving as many people as possible access to dignity 💜
