The son of Pedro Gomez, Rio Gomez is on the mound for Team Colombia. He was able to hold the Athletics to a scoreless 7th inning. Team Colombia is up 3-2 over the A’s as we head to top 8.

“It just felt like the perfect game,” Sandi Gomez, the wife of the late Pedro Gomez said. Her son, Rio pitched yesterday against the Oakland A’s, a team his father covered, and threw a scoreless inning.
