Back to school and more school sport. This time 'extra mini' mini skills. Last Tuesday, we took 12 excited reception aged children to their first ever school sport event, in the Preston School Sport mini skills competition. Our 2 teams were excellent and our 'A' team came 2nd overall!

On Thursday, our mixed Dynamos Cricket team travelled to take part in the Preston School Games with support from Lancashire Cricket Foundation Playing lots of short games this was the 1st experience of competitive cricket for most of our team. Lots of smiles all around despite the results F&BCC 🏏

Well done to our year 5-6 rounders team who triumphed in their 1st round of rounders fixtures in the Preston School Sport league last night. We hosted and racked up lots of rounders in 3 wins from 3. 4 from 4, if you count the win against our staff at lunch on the same day too! ⚾️⚾️⚾️

A little bit of school sport to catch up on from the last few weeks. We had great fun at the Lancashire Schools FA English Schools' Football Association football festival at UCLanSport Our year 3-4 children shone with pride after being selected for the event after showing a growing love for⚽️at lunchtimes

Last week, we also arranged for our Y5-6 girls football team to have a final farewell friendly game to sign off after having a amazing season: Preston School Games tournament🥉, Preston School Sport Division 2🥇 and Dick Kerr Ladies Preston Schools' FA Cup 🥈 We finished with a 4-1 win ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

In our penultimate sports event of the year, we had a great afternoon at UCLanSport for the Preston School Sport athletics championships. With only 4 year 6 children in our team after arranging a pilgrimage on the same day! We had fun throughout and managed a 5th place finish overall

We had 2 brilliant wins for our girls on the track as our 2 star athletes won the 400m and 800m girls events. Both of these girls also placed in the top 10 in the annual cross country race earlier this year and have bags of potential as future athletes Preston Harriers 🥇🥇

Yesterday, was our 68th and final sports event of the year as we played in the Preston School Sport rounders finals (3rd year running). We were hot and cold just like the weather and couldn't quite replicate our best fielding from earlier rounds. Well done to champions St Andrew's CofE
