This Memorial Day we ask that you take a moment to reflect on our fallen service members from the U.S. Armed Forces. This dedication includes aerials of Golden Gate National Cemetery and photos of some our residents from County of San Mateo who gave their lives to protect our country.

County Executive Mike Callagy, HSA, DOH and LifeMoves hosted Kevin Mullin for a tour of the County of San Mateo Navigation Center which provides temporary housing to 240 individuals that formerly experienced homelessness. Services include shelter, healthcare, meals & counseling.
In recognition of #juneteenth staff at County of San Mateo HSA shared images of African Americans to commemorate their resilience, power and joy as part of the black community.
The County of San Mateo Independent Living Program (ILP) celebrated the #Classof2024! The youth received certificates, candy leis, luggage bags, gift boxes and enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner. ILP offers support to youth in foster care and youth in extended foster care, ages 14 to 21.

Another successful run of the The Big Lift Inspiring Summers County of San Mateo program comes to an end. The Big Lift students, La Honda Pescadero School District (LHPUSD) and SMCLibraries staff close out another outstanding season implementing the Inspiring Summers program!
TAY Summit 2024 was a memorable day where foster youth blossomed into County of San Mateo leaders! This historic summit was filled with inspiring presentations and workshops by current/former foster youth who shared their experiences so foster youth can gain skills, grow and connect.
