Finished religions and magic for the next book and the dnd campaign. I’ve got guilds for the campaign and a couple of character motivations for the book. Finish them this week along with character background builder and I can get back to writing.

D&D group nailed last night’s session. I’d thrown them a bone to think through a puzzle and fight 2 bbeg lieutenants out of lair in next session. They saw a flaw in my plan and exploited it to get 4. I acted shocked, but I’m happy to be out-thought in the campaign.

All our basement work is done from the Helene floods. Cleanup and putting things back to normal is all that’s left. I’m happier than I’ve been since this happened.

I just read the email of holly lisle’s passing. I may be behind, but I am one of the people she inspired with her ‘how to think sideways’ course. It came out when I thought my dreams were all dead. That course kept them alive. She was ‘good people.’

Book 4 has been out for 6 months and the series is 2 years old. But now it’s a month and a half with zero ebook sales. 2 hardbacks and 2 paperbacks we sold in Australia - thank you to you all. After scheduling, my prequel is probably six months from release. So, it’s a bummer.

Lots of cleanup today. Lots of yard work. “But honey, I’m writing a book,” I will argue. “You’re playing no man sky,” she says. Then I’ll work and fix my secondary character’s motivations while working in the yard. That’s my prediction for today.

A few weeks ago I burned my hand on a frying pan handle. I named a red dragon after the event-as one does when DMing 15th adventurers. Frying Pan Handle turned out to be like it’s namesake. At first scary, then a few sensible actions later, no real damage done.

It’s late but it feels like an early day. The last dumpster is almost full. One project nears completion. Those sound like non sequiturs , but they’re not.

My new d&d campaign software will be done this week. Putting last touches and last players for next campaign in.
