Although this is not Syokimau but currently, the place looks like this. The County Government of Machakos should relook at planning and advice Kenyans. That area is swampy.

Moving forward, the government must ensure these infrastructures are #climateproofed. This is the new norm for East Africa. In addition to ensuring those settled on waterways vacate, roads, buildings etc must be climate resilient.

Every space that water occupied originally, it will reclaim. See where Lake Baringo boundaries originally were and observe today? Nature always fight for its space. It’s time we all learned to respect it.

We’re thinking of the people in Kerala, #India, who lost loved ones and have been affected by the multiple landslides triggered by heavy rainfall. World Health Organization (WHO) field teams are on alert and in touch with the state government and health department if any support is required.

Cutting of World Health Organization (WHO) funds or any other funds is the best thing that Donald J. Trump has done for Africa! I have said time and again on Africa Climate Conversations that Africa MUST wake up to FUNDING its own development! No one is there to save us but ourselves!

It’s time governments rethink colonial contracts that still exist pertaining to natural mineral extractions, current and future contracts. This current boom should not leave us with an egg on our face! It’s about time we rethink corruption and selfishness #DRC geopolitics aside!

Solutions for Africa, will never come from the west, East be it China or Russia seen as alternatives but from within Africa, by Africans! Remember it’s the Africa we want, WE as Africans! Our definition of development must be defined and led by us African people!

A year ago Dr Wahome sounded the alarm bells on World Health Organization (WHO) vaccines drives - tetanus, HPV, Malaria and why it’s a threat to the sovereignty of #African nations. I have also witnessed repeated and regular #polio drives on our children wondering WHY? It’s about time we woke up!
